Turmeric Cinnamon Tea Blast

This ice tea recipe is full of healthy ingredients and provides a delicious boost for the day.
Ingredients
  • 1-2 Tbsp. black or green loose-leaf tea*
  • ¼ tsp. cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp. turmeric (if supplement doesn't have piperine, add pinch of black pepper)
  • 1 tsp. (or more to taste) honey, maple syrup, or sweetener of choice**
  • lemon slice (optional)

Instructions
  1. Add tea, cinnamon, turmeric, and sweetener together and stir in small bowl
  2. Add just enough hot water to bowl and stir to melt and blend
  3. Fix tea as usual, steeped in hot water for 3-5 minutes in pot
  4. Remove loose-leaf tea
  5. Add sweetener and spices to tea and mix
  6. Pour into an ice-filled glass, and serve with a lemon (optional)
