Other Craft Supplies
There are a few craft supplies that I tend to keep on hand for just such a project as this. That includes a supply of pretty colored cardstock, both patterned and solid colors. Various types of adhesive – usually a glue stick is my favorite go-to glue, but I keep Modpodge, liquid glue, hot glue sticks, and Xyron sticker creator on hand as well.
Additionally, I have brads, hole punch (small pin size), paper cutter, scissors, buttons, paint, ink pads, stamps, ribbons and string . . . these are a few of my favorite things . . .
Along with making super cool robot Valentines, these craft supplies are used regularly in our family homeschool. We decorate 3 ring binders and nature journals, make report files, scrapbook our adventure photos, and create educational lapbooks with these supplies.

Brads Paper Cutter
Hi Sarah! 3-4 days a week is plenty. There are two diferfent ways to go about it: 1) Have some time set aside in your day for school where you focus on motor skills, ABCs, crafts, etc. An hour or two is plenty. 2) Seamlessly blend your learning into everyday life instead of having schooltime vs. the rest of life. Snuggle on the couch and read books. Teach through play. Let your child work alongside you in the home. Use every moment as a time to share little bits of knowledge. You can still sneak in a worksheet here & there little kids love them!I took route #1 with my kiddos because it was all I knew, and because it was fun to play school. I really REALLY wish I had know about choice #2. I think that route instills a love of learning in a child instead of teaching them that schoolwork is something to get done so you can move on to something fun. The old saying goes something like Begin It How You Want to End It.The best advice I can give you is to pray for God to show you what is right for your family, and that is what I will be praying for you too. Let me know if I can help in any way!!~Amy
